Getting Ready to Sell - Floors

The high traffic areas in both the hallway and the master bedroom were so tired that the finish was worn thought to bare wood. Not something that would be OK to leave, we needed to fix the floors before we listed the house. After removing all of the (really heavy) furniture from the master bedroom, we were off to Home Depot for a floor sander and Varathane.
The sanding took a couple of hours and the Varathane took 1/2 an hour to apply each coat with a two-hour wait between coats. We waited an extra day after the third coat, just to make sure it was dry, before moving the furniture back in. What a difference, I wish we had taken the time to fix up the floors years ago!
